Julio Franco will join the class A Rome Braves for the remainder of the minor league season. The Sand Gnats and Braves will meet for the 2,000th time this season, marking the first time two teams have ever done so in one season, but this time Julio will be @ first. I haven't been this excited since Steve Avery pitched a few innings at Grayson years ago. The New York Sand Gnats and Robby Covino will take on Julio and the Braves August 21-23 at Grayson. Be there.
