Employee of the Week

"[Beech] hit him with a cut fastball in the left calf," John said, according to the Post. "And the next thing you know, Offerman's going to the mound with his bat over his head taking swings at Beech. He took at least two, maybe even three [swings]."

Congratulations to Jose Offerman for being named the Office's first Employee of the Week! After a pretty decent 15 year career in the Major Leagues, Senor Offerman decided to return to his roots, the AAA Lon Island Ducks. Picture this, a pitcher armed with a glove, a catcher with all of his gear, and Senor Offerman toting a Louisville Slugger. Who wins? Ding, ding, the Bridgeport Connecticut Sherrifs Department wins, $10,000.00 to be exact. Jose hit a home run off of Matt Beech in the first, but apparently that wasn't good enough. He's charged with 2 counts of felony assault. He broke Beech's finger and hit the catcher, John Nathan, in the back of the head. WOW. Hands down, this exemplifies what the Office is all about. "Don't tread on me", exclaimed Senor Offerman in broken english or spanish.

This weeks runners up were Adam "Pacman" Jones, Joey Harrington, and Bryan Gray. Better luck next week brothers!
