Carter Vs. Karate Kid (not daniel-sun)
Hoop Dreams

Many of you may already know this, but Steph Curry's little brother, Seth, is going to be a Blue Devil. He led all freshmen with just over 20 a game. Yes, maybe this is the pure scorer that Duke needs. Of course, he will sit out for the upcoming season, but if Singler and Nolan Smith stick around for their Senior seasons ('10-'11), Duke may have what it needs to make a deep run in the tournament. Recruiting has to improve for Coach K and the program, but that's another story that Digger and Bilas can handle.
The tournament has come to a screeching halt in my opinion. With the exception of the 'Nova/Pitt game, there really hasn't been anything to exciting since the 2nd round. A ton of blow outs later and the only thing to hope for is a gigantic UNC/UConn final. These two teams have breezed through their respective regions, and they've been arguably the two most talented teams all season long.
If Calipari leaves for Kentucky, I think he's going to find himself in a position similar to his Memphis job. Conference USA basketball is terrible; SEC basketball is on a steady decline. If he takes the UK job, Calipari will quickly retool Kentucky with some of the best freshmen hoopstars in the country. But, he will still be criticized for running through a weak conference. Maybe at UK, he'll finally win "the big one". He's a great recruiter, but I would like to see him become a great coach.
Early Final Four lines, brought to you by Caesar's Palace:
4/4 6:05 pm
Michigan State
UConn (-4)
4/4 8:45 pm
Villanova
UNC (-7.5)
MSU has had to play way to good for 4 straight games, so I'll give the 4 and take UConn, big.
For me, it's too early to commit to the late game.
P.S. Calipari just took the UK job.

Tiger is back!
Yesterday, Tiger won his first event this year and his first since title since he has been back from knee surgery. His last event that he won was the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. His win now adds to the excitement heading into the season's first major, The Masters. With Woods claiming victory for a sixth time at the Arnold Palmer Invitational(formerly the Bay Hill Classic), and Phil and Geoff Olgivy having both won twice this year; the intensity levels should be extremely high. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will be the two odds-on- favorites to win, but there will be some other guys to look after.
Tiger's Statistics at the Masters: 4 wins in 12 appearances as a pro (1997,2001,2002,2005). 9 top 10's and has placed 2nd twice(2007,2009)
Phil Mickelson's Statistics at the Masters: 2 wins in 15 appearances as a pro (2004,2006) 11 top 10's and 6 top 3's finishes.
Both men were low ametuers in the tournament: Tiger(1995) and Phil(1991).
According to Vegasinsider.com the odds for them to win the Masters: Tiger 2/1, Phil 10/1, the field 5/2.
Tiger, Phil, and Vijay, and Mike Weir are the only men ranked in the top 20 in the World Golf rankings to win the Masters. Tiger(1), Phil(2), Vijay(6), Mike Weir(19).
Players to contend in my opinion.:
1) Rory McIlroy
2) Retief Goosen
3) Henrik Stenson
4) Geoff Olgivy
5) Ernie Els
Top Ranked Players( in the Top 20 World Golf Rankings) to miss the cut in my opinion:
1) Vijay Singh
2) Anthony Kim
3) Kenny Perry
4) Adam Scott
5) Steve Stricker
Question: Will Greg Norman make the cut yes/no? No.
Who will win: I am taking Mickelson because he is starting to drive the ball straighter, his iron game is good, and his short game is immaculate.

Some Thoughts and Facts

Heck Yes
My job has taught me quite a few things; People get hurt doing some retarded things, feet are nasty, professionalism often comes at a premium, and contrary to popular belief, proper grammar will never go out of style -- just to point out a few. I cannot put a value upon the many tools I will possess when I walk away from the SOC. Tell me this friends, an 80 yr old rips a less than discreet poot, can you mask your laughter seamlessly with a cough? No, you can't, but I can. I've got some way badass gems to tell, but I plan to start sharpening my professionalism trait right after this next paragraph.
Some will say, "Hey, at least the hard part is over. You got in!" And to that I say, "Hey, shut the fuck up." Not one bit of the next 3 years is going to be easy. I have sat through too many interviews, and told too many people how awesome I am for this shit to be a cakewalk. Bring on the hard shit because I'm ready to be one of the smart kids.
To all of the supporter, appreciate it -- well I guess half accomplished.
To the haters, got em.
